Aybeton Prefabrik is expanding its precast concrete production in Tarsus, in Turkey’s Mersin Province, with a new production line for prestressed hollowcore slabs. For this project, Aydoğan Entegre A.Ş. relies on machinery and engineering from MAX-truder. The new line is designed for the production of different hollowcore slab cross-sections and expands the plant’s existing product range.
The focus is on a plant concept that integrates the new production line into the existing infrastructure while making targeted use of local manufacturing capabilities. MAX-truder supplies the extrusion and cutting technology as well as the associated engineering.
At the heart of the new line is a modular maxtruder extruder for 1,200 mm wide hollowcore slabs. Five interchangeable compaction units enable the production of different slab cross-sections with thicknesses of up to 40 cm. When changing product formats, the respective compaction unit is exchanged while the common machine base remains in place. This allows Aybeton to manufacture different hollowcore slab formats within the same production system.
For subsequent cutting, a maxcut angle concrete saw complements the extrusion technology. In addition to cutting the hollowcore slabs to length, it also enables angle and longitudinal cuts. This allows the elements to be processed according to the required dimensions.
